The Velva Sheen Mfg. Co. was established in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1932 to supply the United States military and collegiate sports teams with reliable basics. Superior athletic apparel t-shirts designed with a heritage silhouette and quality fabrication.

The label is renowned for tubular knitting – a technique that forgoes side seams for comfort's sake. Back in the day, their usage of the 4 needle machine, fabrication and design was a staple for the American Casual line. Production is now from Los Angeles and under Japanese ownership paving the way for the best quality vintage inspired garments.
